Artist Statement

Raised in rural Ontario, Kim Atlin moved to Toronto to attend the Ontario College of Art and Design. Toronto became her base, although her fascination with the colours and textures of the world has kept her and her brush wandering.

Kim took part in her first exhibition shortly before graduation from OCAD in 1988. Since then she has been a frequent exhibitor in group shows in Toronto, St. Johns, New York City, Palm Desert as well as numerous other locations. Her most recent solo shows have taken place at Dianna Witte Gallery and Bugera Matheson Gallery.

Atlin’s work is found in the Ontario Government’s Collection, OCAD printmaking collection, Ontario Archives, National Archives and Canada’s Icelandic Embassy. Her paintings are also held in numerous private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Chile, Iceland and New Zealand.
